Wow Do I Feel Good!!!

So I went to the Y this morning like I said I was going to. They had Step class at 9 and I barely made it through but decided to torture myself further because they had 30 minute abs right after class and I figured I'm here why not. Holy cow let's just say I took a few breaks. But all in all I feel much better knowing that I can do that everyday again.

Finally....

I am done being lazy. I went to the Y today and signed up! I couldn't take it anymore putting it off, making excuses, and waiting for the base gym to do something. I haven't been to the gym in exactly 5 months this coming Thursday. In that 5 months I have put back on 16 of the 22 pounds I lost going to the gym for 7 months. The gym here is nothing like GF not only do they have limited aerobics classes, they have no Mommy Co-Op or childcare to speak of. Boy were we spoiled! They did recently open a family fun room however they have limited it to ages 3-10, well that just won't work for me. So I checked out home daycare and they want $5/hr per kid, that would be roughly $40 a week just for Kamdyn. Then I decided to check out the Y. What a deal...$52.25 a month, free classes, and FREE CHILDCARE for however much I want to be there! Oh and my family can use whatever they want too. So there you have it I will be at the gym tommorrow again...Finally!

...Oh Yeah...

I am going to a neighborhood cookie exchange/card making evening on Thursday so I will let you know how it goes. I have to make 9 dozen cookies and we will come home with 9 different dozen and about 40 cards we make!

EEEWWW What's That Smell? (Warning:May Get Graphic!)

Tom was in Georgia again last week and called me on his way home on Friday and said hey wanna go to Missouri? Well, um OK. So Friday was spent doing laundry so that we could head out of town. He pulled in the driveway at 2:30, after an 8 hour drive and we were back on the road again for another 4 hours at 3:00 to visit some friends we had in Grand Forks who are now stationed at Whiteman. We had a good time hanging out and the kids had a blast paying with their friends. Last week I noticed that Kamdyn was getting some pretty foul breath. She had had a runny nose for a while so I thought maybe she was getting a sinus infection or something like that. I kept waiting for the fever and just plain rundowness (Is that a word? anyway) and it never appeared but the stink worsened!!! So after bath last night Tom looked in all of Kamdyn's facial orifices to check for spots on her throat, something in her ear, or possibly something in her nose. Then he saw it!!!! There was something blocking her nasal passage on her right side. He tried tweezers and such but really wanted a nasal aspirator to suck it out. So I called my neighbor who has a little boy and asked her if she had one and of course she did but she also reminded me that her husband was a doctor and might have some other device to extract the unknown object. DUH!!! I completely forgot and went over to see what he could find. Luckily he had some kind of extraction device and it was out in no time and Holy Cow did it smell. No wonder her breath was smelling so bad. So I suppose you want to know what it was....well I knew right away when I saw it. It was a piece of carpet pad. You see last week sometime when she was supposed to be napping she was playing with the heater vent cover and if you take it off it exposes the carpet pad and wood and stuff and apparently she didn't know where to put the piece she ripped off so she put it up her nose. So there is that worthy news for you all? I tried to make it as graphic as possible for you cuz I knew you would enjoy it!

Hmmm... What Else Happened In October?

I volunteered as a chaperon for Bailey's field trip to the St. Louis Zoo. Little did I know I was not just a chaperon for her class to help the teacher corral the kiddos. I was given 3 kids besides my own and told to have fun, see you at a certain time back at the bus, and don't forget to have lunch some time today. This was the first I had heard of this and was not too sure how I felt about it. These days you never want to be left alone with kids you don't know and holy cow what if you or one of them have to use the restroom! So I knew one of the other moms and asked if I could tag along with her since apparently this was not news to her. The day went OK until the last 45 minutes when one of my kiddos decided he had a tummy ache and couldn't walk anymore. So we decided to just go back to the entrance where they had some exhibits indoors and he could sit and the others could check out the bugs and stuff. Oh no, it couldn't be that easy, the other boy I had was NOT happy about going back because we had not seen the Giraffes. He cried for probably 20 minutes about not seeing the Ggiraffes. Finally it was time to go and we got on the bus and I punched out of the time clock! Here are a couple pics:

Ever had a bad day?

Well this is what it may have looked like when you were 2...

Kamdyn was sitting with Daddy in the chair and decided to climb on the arm and fell off right onto the hard wood floor where it meets the carpet. She had a pretty good shiner for a few days but is mostly gone now.

Halloween Pics

Alright Already...

If you all don't stop bugging me I may just quit...October...hmmm, where do I start? Well how about the beginning, darn I turned the date thingy off on my camera so I guess I don't know when this was taken but it was after my last blog and before today. Oh and it was a Sunday cuz here's the story. Tom ventured out for a Sunday paper and donuts cuz that's what he likes to do on Sunday morning, yes we can have the paper delivered but why when he can get donuts while he is out. Well this particular day he took Bailey with him and she saw the largest apples she had ever seen and asked if she could buy them and he said yes. Why not they are apples and they are healthy and we could all share. Little did he know that 3 healthy apples would cost him $7.00!!!! But he had already told Bailey she could have them and didn't want to break her heart I guess. Me, I would have said holy ****, sorry baby but we cannot get THOSE apples. So anyway he brings them home and I know how much those things cost and say so how much were they and he just smiles. Well Kamdyn of course wanted one right away so here she is. I think the thing is as big as her head!

WOW! Where Did September Go?

Well, let's see...I guess I have to start with some of August too...Bailey started school at her new school off base which is taking some getting used to. They are much more aware of who comes in especially since they don't know me well yet. I can't just walk in and have lunch with her I have to check in at the office and get a big sticker pass for my shirt. It's nice to know they are like that so that I feel better about her being there. Her classroom is just as small and crowded as it was at Eielson and her teacher is just as scatter-brained. I've come to the conclusion one must have that quality to work with children of that age. Bailey likes her new teacher and school just as much as the old and is doing well. We had some old friends from GF come visit us for Labor Day weekend. They are now stationed at Whiteman AFB in Missouri. Bailey had her 7th birthday. Then my Mom, Grandma, and Aunt Joan came to visit. Then another friend from GF came to visit on their way to Kansas where they will be stationed. So I have been pretty busy in between visits. The good thing is that with each visitor I was able to get more of the house unpacked and organized before they came, so bring on the visitors cuz I have A LOT left to do. My current project is still Bailey's room becasue of all the visitors I have to keep stopping and cleanign up my mess in her room then I forget about it for a while. All I have left to do is the rainbow. I got the window treatments and polka dots up yesterday! Tom has finished the two most important parts in the basement, the storage room and the mechanical room. Now I can put away all the stuff we never use and shut the door and now Kamdyn can't turn off the furnace or turn down the water heater anymore. Yippee no more cold showers! The rest of the basement will have to wait for now. Here are some pictures of our adventures over the past month.... OK well nevermind, Blogger is not cooperating so I will have to add the pics later.

Kamdyn climbed up on John's lap for no apparent reason but J.J. was not going to share his daddy so he had to join her.
